Staging a home and showing it to potential buyers can be highly stressful, and it can seem like a waste of time when you know you’re going to move everything out soon anyway. OutFactors never requires sellers to stage their homes for us or even clean their homes beforehand. Even if your home needs a lot of repairs and upgrades, we’ll still send you cash for house offer for your home.

Move out when you’re ready:
When you sell your home through traditional processes, you may need to move out before you’re prepared to, but we won’t ever make you do that. If you can’t find a home right away or you just want to stay in the home for a while, we’ll provide you with a short or long-term leaseback, allowing you to stay living in the home for as long as you need. Granbury, Texas
A Thriving Historic City
The City of Granbury is the county seat of Hood County that is crisscrossed by the Brazos River and State Highway 377 and is located about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.
Like many cities in North Texas, the area was first settled in the mid-1800s. The first settlers to arrive and stake land claims were “Tommy” Lambert, Amon Bond, and several other families from Tennessee. They settled on the west bank of the Brazos River near the community of Acton. At about this same time, the Republic of Texas granted the widow of Davy Crockett, Elizabeth Crockett, 640 acres of land also near the community of Acton. Elizabeth and her son, Robert settled in the area in 1854 and built two small log cabins on their land. Elizabeth died in 1860 and is buried in the Acton Cemetery, which is now a state park and historic site.
The J. and J. H. Nutt brothers were also early settlers that arrived to stake a land claim and in 1866 they donated 40 acres of their land along the Brazos River to form a new townsite. In that same year, the Texas legislature created Hood County by taking portions of Johnson and Erath counties. Hood County was named of Gen. John Bell Hood, Confederate Officer who was known as a brave fighter that even after being wounded numerous times and having his right leg amputated, returned to the battlefield to command his troops.
Due to political infighting about where to locate the county seat of the newly created Hood County, the town of Granbury did not become the county seat until 1871 which is also the year the first public school was opened with A.P. Harbin as the teacher.
During the 20 years between 1880 and 1900, Granbury entered a period of economic expansion, growth, and opportunity. This growth is marked by the construction of numerous notable limestone or brick buildings, many with two stories, including the Hood County Jailhouse and the First National Bank Building completed in 1885. Then in 1886 Granbury residents established a live entertainment company and the Granbury Opera House opened its doors. The expansion and growth of the community accelerated in 1887 with the arrival of the Fort Worth and the Rio Grande Railroad. Granbury quickly became the regional business and trading center.
This spurred additional construction and in 1891 the new 3 story courthouse with a 3 story clock tower was constructed of locally sourced limestone, which replaced the two previous wood courthouses that were destroyed by fire. Two years later the Aston-Landers Saloon Building and the Nutt Brothers Building were built. During these 20 years, the population also increased dramatically from around 500 people in the year 1880 to over 1,400 by the year 1900.
The early 1900s marked the end of the growth period for Granbury and by 1930 the population of Granbury had fallen below 1,000 residents. By the 1940s the city had stabilized and entered a period of slow but steady growth and by 1960 the population was approximately 2,200 people. Additional growth and economic opportunity were created in 1969 when a dam was constructed across the Brazos River just southeast of Granbury which created Lake Granbury.
In the 1980s the city experienced additional growth and economic activity with the construction of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. This massive project brought thousands of employees to the area and by 1990 the population in Granbury had reached 4,000. As with almost every North Texas City, Granbury underwent rapid growth and expansion between the early 1990s to the year 2010 with the population almost doubling to 7,900 residents.
Today, Granbury is a thriving city with a rich history that covers 16.97 square miles and has about 11,000 people who call the city home.
